Jennifer, my mother and I drove over to our friend Caryn Newman’s pottery sale in Ewing, New Jersey, today. Caryn is an amateur-turned-professional potter, and proprietor of Willowood Pottery. She makes pieces year-round in the shop in her converted garage, then puts them on sale for a weekend early in December.
This year, to accommodate social distancing, she moved the sale up a couple of months so she could hold it outdoors.
Our cupboards are full of Caryn’s pottery. Each year, before we attend her sale, we tell ourselves there’s nothing we need, and then we spend a hundred dollars or more. Her stuff is so good.
