No one cares about this but me, but I just have to mark an accomplishment.
When the coronavirus lockdown started I figured one of two things were going to happen: I could let the boredom of being at home all day result in my putting on weight, or I could take advantage of the fact that restaurants were closed and no one would be inviting me over for dinner to go on a diet and lose weight. I opted for the latter, and this morning I reached my goal. Since mid-March I’ve lost 30 pounds. I’m down to a 34″ waist. I don’t think I’ve ever had a 34″ waist, at least not as an adult.
Now, of course, the trick will be keeping it off.
Well, everybody needs a project.
Outstanding! That is not easy to do. In the year after my wife and I joined WW in August 2018 we both lost over 50 pounds. My loss was compounded by illness and on our big trip after retirement and regaining health I ended up gaining about 20 lbs back. However changing waist sizes is significant. I went from 40 to 36 and I’ve managed to stay there for the last year, around 30 pounds lighter than when I started. I don’t ever want to go back so I keep working on it. Good luck!
