My mother came across this hymn parody on her church’s Facebook page. It was written by R.G. Huff, an actual composer of hymns. Here’s what he wrote to accompany the sheet of music below:
After I posted this one-stanza Pandemic Parody, I have been encouraged to add more stanzas… so I did. Unlike my more serious hymn texts (which have NEVER been this popular online!), I haven’t spent a lot of time shaping the text to perfection!
I do hope some of you can use this to bring a smile to folks in your churches and/or classrooms. Feel free to print it out and enjoy sharing it with your people.
